Kitchen stone worktops looking like new

Party season is near – Halloween is only the beginning. With all the celebrations and get-togethers, our granite kitchen worktops are bound to be used more and more. This means high risk of spilling, casserole-overflow and foods of all colours leaking on the work surface. How to keep our kitchen stone worktops looking like new? Here are a few tips.

Granite is tough and durable – you may want to protect your knives!

Luckily, granite is virtually everlasting and cutting, dicing or chopping is not likely to make a mark, however we would advise to use a cutting board none the less – to protect your utensils.

The faster you get rid of the stain, the better for your stone work surface

When it comes to spilling acidic fluids, like densely coloured beetroot juice, red wine – swift action is required. Clean the excess moisture with kitchen roll and use soapy water to get rid of any residue. This should deal with the problem and keep your granite kitchen worktop as good as new. If you allow the spills to stay on the surface for long, they may be harder to get rid of.

Wax sealant can help your marble kitchen worktop look at its best

Our marble products receive a coat of sealant wax, for extra shine and protection. This special layer makes the surface easier to clean and look at its best for longer.

Gentle care for your stone worktop is best

With more stubborn stains you may be tempted to use harsh chemicals or abrasive sponges – we strongly advise against it. Delicate detergent, warm water and a soft cloth should really be all that you need. If, however, you wish to use products designed to help you maintain your granite worktop in a top shape, we can help.
